Other effects of teens and steroids are hypervirilization and precocious sexual development which can affect the teen's psyche and emotional well-being. Some effects of teens and steroids are life-threatening even if they do not show up right away. These include kidney and liver damage, elevated blood pressure and cholesterol levels, cardiovascular damage and increased risks for cancer, heart attacks and stroke.
Additionally, another effect of teens and steroids include changes in appearance that, while they may not be permanent, they are undesirable. These include acne, oily skin and hair, jaundice, premature balding and swelling.
