Physical Image Caused Steroid Addiction To A Bouncer
Because of body image and his intent to become big, a Welsh bouncer admitted to the media that he is dependent on anabolic steroids. He confessed that using steroids had given him the chance to work as a bouncer and his status to his peers.
The 24-year old Welsh bouncer also recalled that he started using steroids since he was 17, and he does not plan to stop yet. This is because he cannot afford to lose his 20-stone frame.
From Wales Online.co.uk:
A BOUNCER from Bridgend told Wales on Sunday he is addicted to being big.
The 24-year-old, who asked not to be named, said he has been using anabolic steroids since he was 17 and wishes he had never started.
But he said he is not able to stop as he cannot face losing his 20-stone frame and the status it gives him in work and among his peers.
He spends around £100 on each six-week cycle, during which he will inject one-mil doses of Cypionate three times a week.
“I’ve noticed over the last two to three years that more and more boys are taking anabolic steroids and they are getting younger, sometimes just 16.
“I think a lot of people now are taking it for image because they are expected to look a certain way, especially in the culture we have in Bridgend. The only star they aspire to be like is Arnie Schwarzenegger, even now.
The admitted steroid dependent expressed his opinion on how steroids have gotten so popular to young people. He said that many have been using steroid even as early as 16. Anabolic steroids and bulking-up are becoming part of Bridgend culture since everyone is conscious of his physical image.
He also pointed out that he spends £100 on each six-week cycle, injecting one milliliter of Cypionate thrice a week.
